→英国通胀降温，英镑应声下跌
本周，英国国家统计局（ONS）发布了英国6月的消费者价格指数（CPI），6月综合CPI为7.9%。不包括食品、能源、酒精和烟草价格的核心通胀率也有所下降，为6.9%。
与5月的CPI数值（8.7%）相比，英国6月的通胀有了小幅度的下降。但是相较于英格兰央行2%的目标，还是相距甚远。
目前，英国仍是G7国家中通胀率最高的国家。
不过，这也在一定程度上缓解了英格兰央行继续大幅加息的压力。因此，英镑开始走软，毕竟投资者减少了对未来借贷成本上升的押注。
因为预计英国国债收益率相对于美国国债和德国国债而言将会下降，英镑在最近几周的上涨后已经出现了超买的迹象。当国际资本纷纷撤离英国，英镑的价值也开始走低。英镑兑美元下跌逾0.8%，兑欧元触及5月以来的新低。
尽管英镑出现了波动，但是很多从业者和经济专家认为，通胀的下降比预期更快，这让人松了一口气，但英格兰央行仍需要保持警惕并采取相应的行动，直到可以确定通胀完全得到控制。
→贷款利率下跌，英国利率峰值或不超过6.0%
伴随着英国通胀的下降，市场目前普遍认为，8月3日加息25个基点的可能性较高，预测加息0.25%的概率为60%。
并且，英国的基础利率可能不会达到6%以上的峰值。到2023年末或2024年年初，英国的基础利率可能徘徊在5.75%-6.0%之间。
道富全球市场（State Street Global Markets）宏观策略主管迈克尔·梅特卡夫（Michael Metcalfe）认为：6月份的通胀数据将为英国国债和英格兰央行带来利好消息。
在通胀数据出炉的当天，英国2年期国债收益率下跌27个基点，创下3月13日以来的最大单日跌幅，当时爆出硅谷银行倒闭的消息。收益率跌至4.8%，为6月15日以来的新低。
除此之外，英国10年期国债收益率当日也下跌了18个基点。
在借贷市场上，英国主要的抵押贷款利率出现近2个月以来的首次下跌。
金融数据提供商Moneyfacts的数据显示，平均2年期固定住宅抵押贷款利率从周三的6.81%降至6.79%，这是自5月27日以来的首次下降。
5年期固定利率抵押贷款的平均利率也有所下降，从周三的6.33%微降至6.31%。
→英政府借贷低于预期，财相仍不打算减税
今天（7月21日），英国政府公布了本财政年度前3个月的数据，英国政府的整体借款低于预期。
尽管在新冠大流行和能源价格的冲击之后，导致英国政府的借贷很高，但2023年6月的预算赤字为185亿英镑，比2022年6月减少了4亿英镑。

这样对比起来就缺乏透明度了。在生活成本危机蔓延的当下，CMA为了保护消费者的钱包，对各大超市发出警告，要求零售商作出必要的改变。
→HMRC新立法草案，继续打击避税者
本周二（7月18日），英国海关税务总署（HMRC）发布了一项新的政策文件，意图继续打击避税者和避税发起人。
这次的计划中主要有2项措施：
第一项措施规定了与避税相关的新刑事犯罪，适用于未遵守《避税计划发起人制度下的停止通知书》的避税发起人。如果避税发起人接到停止通知书后仍继续营销或管理避税计划，则构成刑事犯罪。
第二项措施创造了一种新的权力，赋予HMRC能够对参与避税的公司董事提起取消董事资格的能力，这不仅仅不含实际控制公司的董事，也包含那些能够影响公司决策的董事。
这两项措施旨在巩固和补充2021年和2022年《金融法》，引入新的反避税措施。它们将加强现有的威慑力，并使发起人继续推广其避税计划的风险更大。
这一草案将成为2023-24年财政法案的一部分，在经过公众咨询后逐步进行立法。
→新酒精税制度8月1日生效，酒精饮料更便宜？
2023 年8 月 1 日，酒精税制度将变得更加简单，英国政府将根据酒精含量对所有酒精饮料征税。
这取代了目前的酒精税制度，该制度由四项单独的税组成，涵盖啤酒、苹果酒、烈酒、葡萄酒和酿造酒。
